How does Smart Calling work?
When an international prefix is dialed on your SmartPhone, Smart Calling automatically redirects the call to a Dutch access number, and connects the call over the Smile Telecom IP-network.
As a result, your mobile provider charges you for national airtime only. For the international part of your call, you make use of the lower IP-rates of Smile Telecom. Smart Calling works inside the Netherlands only. When traveling outside the Netherlands you just turn off the application and call via the roaming agreements of your mobile provider.
The application is compatible with all popular SmartPhones based on Windows, Symbian and Palm OS.
